Tips to natural skin care

Good skin is a reflection of a good digestive system. People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation.
Most people lack fiber in their diets - the average person eats only 12 g of fiber a day. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water per day coupled with some regular exercise - walking, running, bicycling, engaging in sports - should have a great impact on one complexion.

Most people do not realize this but excess sugar is one of the main causes of premature aging. The more sugar we eat, the more sugar we have entering our bloodstream. Over time, this can result in a process known as glycation, which is when a glucose molecule damages a protein molecule by sticking to it. The new molecules formed are called advanced glycation end-products, or AGEs. AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage, and ligaments, making them lose their elasticity. Wrinkles form and skin begins to sag.

By avoiding foods that often make your face breakout, your skin will be less oily and more resistant to blemishes. Some problem foods that may cause pimples or breakouts include chocolate and other candy, French fries, fast food, pizza and soft drinks.

Using your selected natural skin care product, cleanse face in a circular motion and rinse with lukewarm water. Finally, pat skin dry with a soft towel but do not dry up all the water. Apply a moisturizer to help protect skin from dryness. Those who have oily skin do not have to moisturize as often as those who have dry, normal or combination skin.
